Alexander Beridze

A native of  Republic of Georgia, former USSR, Alexander Beridze is a winner at numerous National and Republic competitions, Presidential Grant (2001,2005),and Vladimir Spivakov Award winner (2003).  In 2004, Mr. Beridze won Jacob Flier International Competition in New-Paltz, NY.

In 2006, Alexander was brought to the United States by Maestro Vladimir Feltsman. He Graduated from Mannes College of Music where among his coaches were Dean Joel Lester and Mr. Todd Philips. Mr. Beridze was Annual Concerto Competition (2006) winner at the Mannes College. He performed with Mannes Community and Doctor’s Orchestras under the baton of Peter Bellino. He has appeared as a soloist with the Tbilisi State Symphony, the Republic of Georgia’s Opera and Ballet Sypmhony Orchestras, and the Hudson Valley Orchestra in NY.

Mr. Beridze has performed in Master Classes presented by Yefim Brofman, Claude Frank, Joseph Kalichstein, and Menahem Pressler. Mr. Beridze is regularily performing at Aspen Music Festival and School where he studies with Professor John O’Conor. In addition, Mr. Beridze holds a Doctoral degree in Journalism from Tbilisi State University. During ten years,1996 to 2006, he was a leading musical review section for Weekly Newspaper ”Kviris Palitra” where he interviewed many famous musicians including Mstislav Rostropovich, Genadi Rojdestvensky, Yuri Bashmett, and Maxim Vengerov and was the author of over 500 articles on music. 

Mr. Beridze is a Founder and Artistic Director of New York Piano Festival at Bechstein Centre.

Alexander Beridze continues his studies at Rutgers State University of New Jersey opyursuing his Doctor of Music Degree, where he also holds a position of Teaching Assistant.

Alexander holds a Bachelor, Master and Post-Graduate Studies from Tbilisi State Conservatory where he studied with Professor Edisher Rusishvili.

Mr. Alexander Beridze has joined the faculty of the Piano School of NYC in 2007.
