Elena Petrova Nikolova started playing piano since the age of 3. She had graduated from National School of arts – Rouuse /Bulgaria/ where she had been studding with Veselinka Ivanova and Evgeny Jelqzkov. She has participated in master classes given by Paolo Poliche, Snezhana Barova, Valentina Berman, Viktor Chuchkov, Michael Roll, Yuri Bukov, Tamara Poddubnaya, Svetlozar Ivanov, Atanas Kurtev, Michael Keller, piano duo Sali and Evan Hirsh. She was awarded the following national and international prizes : LISMA international competition NY /2004/ -3rd prize ,’Hopes, talents, and masters” international contest –Dobrich –Albena/2003/ -1st prize (solo, piano and violin duo and piano trio) , “Hopes, talents, and masters”/2001/ - Honorable mention , International Piano contest Kosice , Slovakia /2001/ - Diploma , “Franz Schubert” international contest /2001/ -3rd prize , “Franz Schubert” international contest – 1st prize /2007/ , Brooklyn College (Kappa Sigma) competition – 2nd prize /2008/ . Elena has been a featured soloist with the Ruse Philharmonic Orchestra, Vidin Philharmonic Orchestra, Youth Chamber Orchestra Ruse, and with the Amaricas Mozart Orchestra /2010/. Elena was awarded full scholarship at Manhattan School of Music for /2006-2007, 2007-2008/ where she studied with Prof. Arkady Aronov. She was invited to participate in the 200 Years of Chopin- World Financial Center program/2010/. Currently Elena is studying with Akira Eguchi at Brooklyn College under the Dean’s Scholarship to further her performing and teaching careers. Elena is a young musician with great artistic potential, ambition, and serious attitude towards her work, and the possibility for further artistic achievements
